The Friars in Australia led a weekend Men’s Lenten Retreat in Borden, WA, complete with talks, Liturgy of the Hours and Holy Mass. The “highpoint” of the retreat was the hike up Bluff Knoll (elev. 1095m) where we enjoyed the view and celebrated Holy Mass – likely the first time Holy Mass was ever celebrated up there!

Fr. Ignatius on the occasion of the dedication of the new Rosary and Stations of the Cross at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, IN, gives a very appropriate conference on the encyclical Redemptoris Mater (Mother of the Redeemer) which was issued 25 years ago. This encyclical combines the essence of the Rosary that focuses on the mother of Christ and the Stations of the Cross which focuses on the redemptive act of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross. Father gives an outline of the encyclical and explains how important the doctrines on Mary are for getting a correct grasp of the doctrines on Christ and of the process of growing in grace.

21 Mile Walk to Green Bay Shrine

More than 450 people are planning to walk 21 miles on Saturday from De Pere to the only location in the United States officially designated as a place where the Virgin Mary appeared.

The daylong walk starts at 7 a.m. at the St. Norbert Abby Church and ends with a 5 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Good Help in Champion. It’s aimed at supporting Catholic education.

500 faithful join 21-mile Walk To Mary: Saturday, May 4: About 500 people took part in the first Walk To Mary in Brown County. The 21-mile walk followed a route from the National Shrine of St. Joseph at St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion.

DE PERE — The muffled sound of shoes moving along the tarmac in De Pere announced the passing of several hundred walkers participating in the 21-mile Walk to Mary Saturday in Brown County.

The walk took pilgrims from the National Shrine of St. Joseph located at St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion. For many, the event was a chance to get closer with their Catholic faith, while also calling attention to Catholic education for children.
