Tune in to this fascinating discussion between Dr. Miravalle and EWTN Miracle Hunter, Michael O’Neill on the nature of contemporary Marian Apparitions and extraordinary Eucharistic Miracles.

Main Points:

There have been around 2500 reported Marian apparitions throughout Christian history, with around 27 approved apparitions after 1545 when the process for investigating apparitions was formalized.
In 1978, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) issued guidelines for investigating alleged apparitions which are still used today. Some feel the guidelines could be clarified and updated.
Recently there have been some unprecedented cases of approved apparitions later having their approval revoked by the Vatican, such as in Amsterdam with Our Lady of All Nations.
Reasons for more reported apparitions in modern times could include easier dissemination of information after 1966 when permission from bishops was no longer required, as well as humanity’s greater need for heavenly intervention.
Medjugorje is an unapproved but important site of alleged apparitions with massive spiritual fruits, as acknowledged by recent popes.
Eucharistic miracles like Lanciano provide scientifically verifiable evidence of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Recent miracles in Poland offer further proof.
Regarding a potential fifth Marian dogma on Mary as Co-Redemptrix, opinions are divided on how this would impact Christian unity.
