On this Fourth Sunday in Advent Fr. Ignatius explains how the prophecy of Nathan in the Old Testament, that the Lord will build a house for David and his descendants, comes to fulfillment in the New Testament as Mary gives her fiat at the humble Holy House of Nazareth. This comes about through Mary’s obedience of faith. Let us imitate her.

This series is a complete 50 part introductory course on Mary presented by Dr. Miravalle, a theology professor specializing in Mariology, who has been teaching at the Franciscan University of Steubenville for over 25 years. General topics are as follows:

-the proper ways to show childlike love and devotion to the Blessed Mother of Jesus;
-Church’s official teaching on Marian apparitions over the centuries.

It is time for Christians, those who believe and entrust their lives to Jesus Christ, to have a better knowledge, a better love as well as to allow himself/herself to be loved by the Mother of Jesus, who is also his/her Mother as was given to us by Jesus (Jn 19.26).
Thanks to the generosity and the great love Dr. Miravalle has been tirelessly shown to our Blessed Virgin Mother, the theology of Mary as should be properly taught are now available to us.

Our Lady of Fatima promises true peace, the peace of Christ in the soul.

God the father waited for the fiat (consent) of a young virgin to bring us Jesus. Now that young virgin, who is our mother, waits for our fiat to bring us the graces of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart. We have to cooperate with her plan to obtain those graces.

On the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord (Mar 25), Fr. Alan gives the homily on the deceptive richness of the Mystery referred to simply as “the Annunciation.” Almost lost in the narrative of the Angel’s message and the Virgin Mary’s response is the climax of the whole episode: the Word Himself inconspicuously takes flesh and becomes man in the Virgin’s womb.

Less than an understatement, the foretold fulfilment of God’s eternal plan is not even acknowledged as having taken place the moment Mary responded: “Be it done unto me according to your word.” Mary’s great humility is outdone only by Our Lord in this lesson of Love Incarnate, come into the world through Mary.
