Mentioned in the discussion is how the same-sex marriage agenda is fueling attacks on religious liberties in Boston, Minnesota, England, Canada, & Sweden, & how it’s effecting what are children are being taught in school. “Children are not mere creatures of the state,” was the decision passed down in a famous 1920s Supreme Court case (Pierce vs. Society of Sisters), & yet Peter explains how in the Boston school system today, the Constitution & parental rights are being subverted in the name of teaching our children sexual immorality. Such is always the case when “the State” deifies itself & vilifies Christ & His followers.

Senate Bill 1098 introduced to the Judiciary Committee

The bill dictates:

• Lay Boards will have complete control of Administration and Finances of Parishes
• Bishops and pastors will not have any vote in decisions that the board makes
• Bishops and Pastors will have no say in who is elected to the lay boards.

All dictated by the state. This goes way beyond mere layman oversight which the CT dioceses have already voluntarily established. This changes the very character of the Catholic Church and its hierarchical system established by Christ. What ever happened to separation of Church and State? What is our Connecticut Legislature thinking??!!!

London Cortes gives his account of Catholic advocacy from the pew. He gives witness to what his faith did for him and for helping him raise a large family in today’s world. He then describes what he did when he sees things go wrong in the country he loves, including writing to congress and to prominent bishops and cardinals. He focuses on the meaning of the word “posterity” in the preamble of the Constitution and the fact that it means children, both present and future children, including the unborn. So when it says, “promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,” it is saying we should be pro-life.
