This vignette of the apparition of Our Lady to St. Catherine Laboure on the occasion of her request for the Medal was produced by the Franciscans of the Immaculate in conjunction with Susan Mackewich of Gizmo Productions and Dave Wroe. We include this segment on the happy occasion of the start of Air Maria and on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Archangel St. Michael to Our Lady resulting in the blessed Incarnation of the Son of God.

The friars from Mount Saint Francis Hermitage recently erected their new 160′ radio tower for the radio station they operate out of the friary in Maine, NY, Holy Virgin Mary Radio, WHVM 91.9 FM.

The erection of the tower completed months of preparation work over the course of the summer to lay a new foundation, pour new ground anchors, and assemble the tower on the ground before lifting it into position with a 200′ crane and securing it down. This occurred on the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, October 2.

The upgraded station then went back on the air on the 18th October transmitting 160W effective radiated power from a 3 bay, half-wave, non-directional antenna with a center of radiation 150′ above the ground.

The station had been operating for the last 3 years with the antenna mounted only 45′ above the ground – a much less than ideal situation as we weren’t even above the treeline and the interference was noticeable.

The extra height from the new tower gives the station a much better coverage and is the mid stage in our planned upgrade to a directional antenna with an upgraded transmitter to get a much better signal towards the Binghamton area.

This perverse view has been carefully prepared by a so called “education,” aiming at convincing us that there are no absolute moral truths: they are all relative and depend upon the time and the culture that one happens to live it. It was declared to be “high time” to liberate ourselves from paralyzing taboos which have kept us in bondage. This view also justifies “same sex marriage” – a moral abomination that threatens the very fabric of society and that a no- nonsense Italian peasant would condemn on the ground that “no door can be opened if lock and key are identical.” From time immemorial – starting with Genesis – marriage has been declared to be the union of a man and a woman – whose spiritual, intellectual, affective and biological structures are so admirably complementary. Today in our morally decadent world, it is neither prudent nor politically correct to proclaim clearly and loudly that the natural moral law is as valid today as it was when given to Moses on Mount Sinai. It is a risky affair to proclaim the objectivity of truth and of moral values in our society seeped in “dictatorial relativism.”

On May 29, 2015, Father Gabriel Maria Polo, following a heart attack, died in Consolation (Philippines). He was born September 3, 1972 in Irosin Sorsogon (Philippines), he made his First Vows May 18, 1996 and he was ordained priest April 25, 2003. Already assigned in the past to the community of Anapolis (Brazil) and Stoke On Trent (England) he was the Guardian and the Father master of the postulants in Naga (Philippines). We invite all the communities to pray and the priests to celebrate the Holy Mass for the repose of his soul. We entrust the deceased confriar to the Immaculate Gate of Heaven, sure to have a new intercessor before God for the Institute, especially for the Delegation of the Philippines.

The footage in this video is from his stay in Stoke on Trent. We will miss you Fr. Gabriel.

Cardinal Burke at the Day of Reflection for Laity with the theme, “Holy Matrimony: Sacrament of Christ in His Church, (Eph 5:32)” at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, IN on October 10, 2015, gives the third and final talk called “Preparation for Holy Matrimony”. He addresses the need for adequate marriage preparation in order to correct many common points of confusion in our modern world resulting from no fault divorce and other factors that weaken the public perception of the indissolubility of marriage vows. He also underscores the importance of the marriage ceremony and doing this according to the norms of the Church with a well prepared homily, to help the couple and the congregation to see the importance of marriage. He makes many references to the papal encyclicals, and Canon Law.

This is a repost of a very early video, but also one our most popular videos ever, with almost 200,000 views on YouTube. It is on the Miraculous Medal, the feast day for which is tomorrow Novemnber 27th. However it is not just the same video. We remastered it with the full resolution that we filmed it in, which is only in the old Standard Definition from the 1990’s when it was done. However this version is better than what was on line here before which was only about half that due to the fact that it was uploaded in 2007 when the internet was not fast enough for higher resolutions. Well, things have changed and since we are celebrating ten years of our first video being uploaded, we thought this was a good time to redo some of our earliest videos where we can. Happy feast of the Miraculous Medal!
