How jealous is our Lord! That He cannot bear for anything to stand between Him and us. “Remain in me, as I remain in you” (John 15:4) .

How tender is His love for us! Even when our Lord urges us to “turn and become like children” (Matthew 18:3-5), even in this our Lord leads by example, bending to the earth through His Incarnation as a mere babe in a manger. As His beloved Apostle again wrote, “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). We are nothing and what little we have to offer, comes from Him.

Oh, how precious and humbling is the fleeting glimpse that the ‘Subtle Doctor’ affords us into the immense love of our Lord!
Dear Lord, indeed, grant us the great joy of seeing blessed John Duns Scotus canonized for it will surely serve to glorify Your incredible love for us.
