I look forward to the homilies; I am in the Philippines so we get them at the close of each day. Today was the 46th year of remembrance of Martial Law by the Marcoses; and a day of resistance to the rising tyrannical rule, yet again, in our country. People from all sectors marched to our Capital to protest against human rights violations, inflationary market, and a de facto Martial Law across the nation. Among the most vulnerable in our country right now, and have always been worldwide, are the women. The readings for today, 21 Sep, deepen my resolve to continue doing what I have been called for: a Filipino female scientist who serves the people. I am a woman and alongside other brave and beautiful women, we serve out of love. I was hoping to hear words of reflection on the women who follow Jesus’ example. I am looking forward to it. Thank you!
