Pro-life is taking care of the unwanted, the unloved, the ‘crosses’ in ones’s life. It is dying to self for the sake of another. It’s saying, “Yes” I will keep my handicapped son in my life after the neurologist informs you that the son will be severly challanged both mentally and physically. It’s hearing the words, “we don’t know what is wrong with him, take him home and love him, and don’t expect anything from him.” It’s never hearing him utter a syllable in almost 21 years. It’s watching him touch the hearts of many with his beautiful smile and infectious laughter!!! That is pro-life! It’s sacrifice even when it hurts…..
