Some reasons include the love for this great saintly penitent and her example but also because I have been a mortal sinner in my life too. And the mercy of God, especially through the Immaculate, has brought my heart to know of a great love.

The exmple of sinners who became great saints and so beloved of God is a great encouragement to all! The saints who were especially favored from childhood with mystical gifts or who never strayed far from the path of holiness, sometimes can be discouraging to those who did stray far and who have never had those special gifts. We need to find our way to God too in spite of the obstacles we have put in the way.
