Dear Jen,

Well, its a moot point because Gov. Rell has already signed it this morning! I would imagine that if she had vetoed it, the bill would have gone back to the legislature and we would have had a chance get the amendment for protecting school children from pro-homosexual teaching. Apparently the bill was railroaded through the process, giving no time for the many concerned citizens to call their Rep.s nor Gov Rell. Go figure!

I received a note from an activist, B.Daly, in the area who said we should now all be writing to Gov. Rell to veto this bill when it comes her way. What are your thoughts on this? Should we be happy with the amendment and accept it as is or should we be flooding Jodi Rell at this point with VETO notices and phone calls?

I wrote my note to her but have it sitting in my Drafts folder because I began questioning whether this was the correct tactic. Thanks much.

Jen
