Even though Fr. Maximillian Dean has entered the contemplative life and won’t be doing concerts and video postings, will he still be able to share his insights in writings, can people write to him?

Dear Dave,

Thanks for your interest. The formation for the contemplative friars is the same as the regular friars because only later after formation is complete are they eligaible to enter the contemplative life. The house in Italy is certainly open to US friars.

Is the contemplative house in Italy open to monastic vocations from the U.S.??? What would the formation program be like for potential contemplative friars?
